Day 119 - Wink Wink

Best picture by far in my opinion. Erin had just given the baby his bath and he threw out an ol' wink wink, as if he was saying, "Nice bath, Ma."

Day 117 - Meet Great G'ma Sholty and Ozzy

Great G'ma Sholty has been hanckering to see her (7th, 8th or 9th I can't remember which) great grand baby, so Erin took the baby over to see her and her GIANT cat Ozzy while I was traveling this past week. Here's some great photos of them....Funny thing is Erin took as many photos of the cat as she did the baby....think she's trying to tell me something?

Day 116 - I see me and more sun tanning

Now that "bubba" (you'd understand why if you saw his thighs) is finding all kinds of things to look at and keep him occupied, we thought we would stick a mirror in front of him during tummy time. Just like all Sholty's, he fell in love with him self. Take a look!

Oh yea, the weather has been great here in so cal, so we let the baby do some more sun tanning while Erin worked in the yard. Read the next day and you'll understand.

Day 115 - Sun Tanning

Over the past few weeks, we have learned that Brayden absolutely LOVES the sun. At first I thought Erin was crazy when she came up with her theory about his mood swings when it's cloudy outside, but now I am a firm believer. I guess we won't be moving to the pacific north west anytime soon. Here's a few pics of Brayden "sun bathing" as we like to call it. And yes, we do use sun tan lotion. It's amazing that our society has made it as long as it has!!! Also some bonus pictures of him learing to sit...or shall I say lean. You'll notice too that I am now putting the post on top of the pictures.

Day 113

More tummy time exercises for everyone to see. I can't help it, he just looks so darn cute in these pictures.

Day 112 - Tax Day

Taking the baby to go get my taxes done this morning. Here's to hoping for a good tax return thanks to daddy's little tax write off.

Day 109

Ok, so, Brayden can't sit up, hold his head up for very long, crawl or a number of other things, but over the past week we have learned that he loves to bounce. The problem with this is that he shouldn't really be doing it this early according to the nurse and OT that Erin spoke with. But, I don't care, it makes him happy and it's the second thing that keeps him from screaming bloody murder (see the binky day) so I just let em bounce all day.

Day 108 - Daddy's day off

I got a 3 day weekend (if you can call it that) and was able to spend some time holding the baby. That's about it for today. Enjoy the side of my head and thanks mom for the moles.

Day 106 - LA ZOO

The baby told Erin that he wanted to go to the ZOO today, so, that's what we did and the rest of the freaking Valley. Man, I have got to get out of So Cal, there is just too many people. Anyway, the baby basically slept the entire time so we didn't really get to many photos of him, and when we did, they look like this. If you look behind him thought there is one of the animals we saw sitting on a rock. here is a few more pics too.

Day 104 - Valentines Day

Well, if little man has continued to put on the weight like he has he should be 10lbs today. Pretty amazing we think. Erin continues to manage the house while I am away at work or out of town on business. I'll tell you what, she has all my respect because I couldn't do it. I'm actually starting to get scared about the idea of her going back to work...I figure nothing good can come out of me being home with a baby alone...so I am spending my free time (right!) figuring out quick get rich schemes. So far I have nothing..grrr. But I did send flowers and get her a pedicure for V-day.

Here are some pic of the little man doing his floor exercises, we have our appointment with the OT in June and we need to make sure he's where he needs to be developmentally.

Day 102

I was recently told that there are advocacy groups out there who suggest that baby's should not use binky's. I'm really not to sure why they feel that way, and frankly I could care less. Binky's are about the only thing that keep us sane, so, for the next person the feels they need to tell me about this, I say to you, come babysit for a few hours and let's see what you think then...this kid has a set of pipes! haha

Oh yea, almost forgot, g'ma and g'pa L are coming down tomorrow...last time they brought the baby his first piece of luggage, this time were hoping they actually use it and take the baby with em. OK I'm just kidding.

Day 101

Another fairly uneventful day for us today. Brayden continues to eat well and keeps packing on the weight. Here's a few pics of me with my "tiger" that Naomi got me while I was in the hospital. He is starting to learn how to grab on hold on to things other than mommy an daddy's finger.
