Day 91

It's been a nice, quiet week so far. As a matter of fact I have absolutely nothing to say, so here are some pictures for you to peruse.

Day 89 - Am I chubby or what?

This kid is packing on wieght like we've never seen. Here's an example, a normal baby would gain about 2/3 to 3/4 of an ounce a day. Not my little guy, he's packing on an avg of 1.4 ounces a day, that's almost double what a normal baby would. The doc doesn't seem to be to concerned so were not; at least not yet. For you math guys out there, that means the baby is going to wight 32lbs 4 oz on his first birth day. Now, we haven't made it through our book that tells us everything that happens in the first year, but I think it's safe to say that seems to be a bit heavy for a 1 year old. Here's a few little snap shots of "Chubbs."

Day 88

No to much to report today other than this little guy get's cuter ever single day. Just look at this picture. Clearly he looks like me, right?

Day 85

Brayden got weighed yesterday right before they ruined his day with the shot. Tubby came in at a whopping 8 and 1/2 pounds. Had he stayed in the womb like he was supposed to, he may have rivaled his uncle buzz (10+pounds at birth) for heaviest baby in the family. If he keeps this up he will be 42lbs on his first birthday...is that normal?

I am caught up now...I will do my best to update more often and I appreciate you all being nice about it.. For the record, G'ma Pat called a few hours ago and said, "I've been as patient as I can, now have that blog updated by the time I get home from Costco." Now, normally I would have told anyone else where they can put this blog, but you never piss off your future babysitter.

Day 84 - RSV Shot

here we go again...Just as Brayden has gotten back to normal, we have to go to the clinic for another shot. This will be the last one for about a month.

Here is the little man as happy as can be, little does he know he's going to be pissed for about another 5 days in a few hours.

Day 83 - Sister had surgery

Sophie had to have surgery on her eye and is in a cone for a few weeks. Brayden feel bad for her, or so Erin seems to think. That's it for today.

Day 82 - Feeling better

Sorry for the few days off, been busy with the savage preemie. He's finally starting to get over this vaccinations and it seems that the doctor was correct (I still have my theory) and I was wrong. GRRRR!!! Anyway, here is Brayden sitting in his swing.

Oh yea, almost forgot, we had to go see his doc on Monday after the urgent care episode and he has finally hit 8lbs. As well, Monday was his original due date, so although he will always be a preemie, he is officially a full term baby.

Day 79 - Urgent Care

Well, we made our first trip to urgent care because the little man didn't poop for a few days and was having difficulty eating.

The docs says it's just all part of the vaccinations, but (big surprise coming) I don't believe it...I think there is something else going on, like GERD.

Day 77 - Boys night in part deux

Little man is not doing well with his vaccines again. This happen last time so were pretty used to it. Unfortunately for me, we were doing boys night in again and trying to give Erin some sleep. I made it till about 4am when Erin finally had to get up because I was trying to hang myself in the kitchen. Ok, not really, but I thought about it. He SCREAMED for like 7 hours straight and nothing I did made him happy. Of course, rather than waking Erin up for help, I decided I could do it and didn't need her.....clearly that was a poor decision on my part.

Anyway, here is a few pics of "the guardian" as we like to call her watching over "her baby" or so she thinks. Missy Moo is fascinated by the baby and never leaves his side. At one point she started nudging him with her nose as if to say "you OK there little man?? you haven't moved in a while."

Day 76 - What is on my head???

As expected, yesterday was brutal after he got 3 vaccinations. He was uncomfortable most the night, but like I said, G'ma and G'pa L were here to help hold him which was great. Today he is off for his final eye appointment. This is only going to piss him off more...oh well, it has to be done.

Here is an assortment of pictures for you. The first one kills me though. What in the world is on his head??? Is his eye appointment in china town????

The other picture just shows how much this guy likes to eat. He was having some tummy time before his appointment and decided he couldn't wait so he just started eating the pillow next him.

Day 75

Off to see my doc today for more vaccinations. If you remember last time, these did not go well. Grandama and Grandpa L are coming down today which is good because he will need to be held A LOT!!! Here's a little pic of me packed and ready to go....if you look closely you'll notice that Brayden spit up the second Erin snapped the photo. I love it!!

Day 74

Up to 7 1/2 lbs now and that's about all I have to say today. Sorry, wish I had more for ya.

Day 73 - Singing Elmo

Not to much to report other than the fact that Brayden has a new toy. His name is Elmo (was he always on sesame street because I don't remember him), and not only does he sing, but you can shove a "binky" in his mouth and he'll hum. Now at first it was kinda annoying, but once I realized that Brayden wasn't screaming when this furry red monster was singing, I was sold.

Day 71 - boys night in

Sorry it's been a while, I just can't seem to keep up with it all.

Brayden and I decided we would give mamma the night off. Probably not one of our better ideas as we were up all night with a screaming preemie. Thank goodness it was a weekend and we could sleep during the day. Here's a little snap shot of two VERY tired boys

Day 70 - All is well

Saw the doc yesterday and although he's still barfing a little bit he put his weight back on and then some. Up to 7lb 40z now.

He was pretty alert today so Erin got out some gym thingggy...and he had a blast. here is some photos of him trying to figure out what all those things hanging in his face are.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. He's 10 weeks old today.

Day 69 -

Had to go see the doc again because he is not feeling well. In fact, they are very concerned since he has lost some weight. We have to go back on Friday for a weight check and if he has lost anymore weight they will admit him into the hospital. ARGH!!!!!

In the mean time, we decided that Elmo would make him feel better...not sure why though.

Day 68 - Vaccinations

we missed a few days because Brayden went in to get his 2 month vaccinations and found out that he doesn't like them. He's been in a ton a pain (Thank you infant Tylenol) and throwing up. Some good news though is that he was weighed again and has finally hit the 7lb mark, in fact, he's 7lb 2oz.

Day 65

We've had some questions on how the baby is hooked up to his Apnea monitor. Here you go....sorry, it was a slow picture day. this is the best I could come up with.

Day 63 - Uh, more food please

We just can't seem to feed this little guy enough. This is a picture of him after he just sucked down 70 CC's of milk. I better buy some stock in the local grocery store!!!

Day 62

Saw the doc today and I'm a whopping 6lb 11 oz. Doc says I'm the cutest baby she's eve seen...OK so she didn't say it exactly like that, but that's what we heard.

As you can see, mommy got me all dressed up in my Sunday best for the visit.

Sophie is getting a little more used to the baby as long as we put a blanket next to him. that way she can lay on it. She sure loves laying on laundry.

Day 61 - Is that a bottle in your hand???

I'm not sure what Erin is doing in the picture that has the little man so excited, so I can only assume that she's got a bottle in her hand and he's ready to eat.

We get to see his doc tomorrow so I'll have a weight update then.
